Extension Requests • "You are using an adblocker"

Hello,

as my site uses ads, AdSense and other advertisers, I would like to show users of adblockers a small band on top of the page where I can put some sort of statement.
I have seen other sites using a script to detect adblockers.
Is this hard to do?
