Are the images actually on the server in the /files folder, using FTP if you click on any of them do they display properly?
If not ensure your host transferred the files with their FTP program set to use "Binary" mode for files with no extension. In FileZilla, this can be changed by going to Edit> Settings> Transfers> File Types and unchecking the box next to "Treat files without extension as ASCII file."
